The Weslo M5 is a low-end model and therefore you cannot expect it to be sufficient for the professional runner. It does, however, have a worthwhile warranty which you don't always get in the budget range.

Specifications:

* 1.5 horsepower (HP) continuous
* 0 - 16 km/H speed range (0 - 9.9 mph)
* Four-level manual incline
* LCD display - see below
* Quick speed key operation - one touch to change speed
* 4 pre-set programmes plus one manual
* Hand grip heart rate monitor
* 40 x 120 cm walking/running surface
* Cushioned deck to reduce impact
* Foldable for easy storage
* Maximum user weight 115kg (253 lbs)

Dimensions:

* 128 x 78 x 160 cm floor
* 85 x 70 x 147 cm folded
* 52 kg machine weight

As we said, this is not for the professional runner. The Weslo M5 treadmill is a budget model without some of the higher end features. To be fair though, it does have something for the beginner or casual user, which is the market that Welso have targetted with this Treadmill.

If you're on a budget then please dont expect a high end treadmill ! you should not raise your expectations too high when spending as little as a couple of hundred pounds on a running machine. If you can afford a little more you will get a lot more! You might consider Horizon or the Proform 3.6 as both brands have a lot to offer for under £400.

If your limit is around £250 then also take a look at the Carl Lewis MOTC99 Treadmill which is often seen as a superior treadmill.

It has four manual incline levels to add a little extra to your training and there are smaller running decks around if you look hard enough!.

It comes with a two year on site warranty on parts and labour which is very reasonable for a machine costing as little as this. But you wouldn't buy a machine because of a good warranty!

Positives

-Very comfy deck
-4 incline levels
-Decent Warranty

Negatives

-Some folks don't like the fact that you have to stop running and get off to change the incline!
-A little unstable on anything but slow speeds
-The display could be a lot better
